Prayers for the Philippines

In the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, – The Typhoon hit Iloilo Province, central Philippines, on November 8, 2013 – we offer up our prayers for the people of the Philippines.  Below, The Lord’s Prayer in Tagalog.

Bigyan Mo kami ngayon ng aming kakanin sa araw araw;
Amen.

Prayer is powerful, especially when accompanied by action. UMCOR – United Methodist Committee on Relief, are often first-in and last-out when disaster strikes. They were early on the ground in the Philippines and promised that, when you directed your donation to that project, all of your gift – 100 percent – would be used to help those in need. Other highly regarded disaster relief agencies include: Red CrossInternational Medical Corps, and Doctors Without Borders .
