WebDef: Wrath

Wrath /raTH/ – Noun: extreme and vengeful anger.

Wrath is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and traces its roots back to pride (wounded pride, or pride involved in taking vengeance). See also our other topical WebDefs, such as the comprehensive post on sin, as well as the other "deadly" sins, including pride, greed, envy, gluttony, etc.
