Health. Wellness. It's all wrapped up together, and our scripture has a lot to say about how to get from here to wellness, and how we walk as ministers along a healer's path. We invite you to get to know our Spiritual-Holistic-Inquiry-Process, or SHIP, is an evaluation framework that can help you in your work as you assess overall well-being. Also, below are a few verses on health and wellness, that can be helpful in your prayer practice:

Bible Verses on Health & Wellness

  • A calm and peaceful and tranquil heart is life and health to the body, But passion and envy are like rottenness to the bones. – Prov. 14:30 (AMP)
  • Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.y. – Prov. 16:24 (KJV)
  • A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. – Prov. 17:22 (KJV)
  • Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 (KJV)
  • And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. – Exod. 23:25 (KJV)

Verses About Being a Healer

  • Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. – Matt. 10:8
  • While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus. – Acts 4:30
  • Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. – James 5:14-15

Biblically Based Affirmations for Health and Overcoming Fear of Death

  • "I love my neighbor as myself, which includes healthy self-regard, knowing I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14
  • "I walk in freedom, and am not condemned. – Romans 8:1
